James Street in downtown St. Catharines between King and Church streets will be closed starting Wednesday at 8 a.m. up to two days, a municipal news release says. No reason was given. All vehicle traffic will be prohibited, but emergency access will be maintained at all times. Motorists are asked to use alternate routes during the closure to avoid delays.

UPDATE: A sewer line broke in front of the Honest Lawyer building and James Street has to be closed in order to repair it.
