For many years Main Street has been paved with uneven roads, buildings covered up with plywood, broken glass in storefronts. The street was a mess, and yet still very busy as the roads are packed with cars, hurrying between business.
Several new projects have begun on Main which have changed the way the neighborhood sees this landscape, as for what the near future will bring them. These projects are mainly funded by the public sector but they are hoping the private sector will jump in and help the cause.
These projects include $47.5 million Courthouse and Police Headquarters,
A concert Venue which can hold 1,600 people, which was built in Dec after $1.8 million renovation,
$2 million upgrade on Health Association of Niagara County,
$2.2 million to finish renovating a former furniture store to consolidate offices for a nonprofit organization: Family & Children’s Services of Niagara.
