Volunteers will try to set a Guinness World Record on Saturday by washing cars at Royal CarStar on Pin Oak Drive.
The local CarStar collision centre is joining forces with 140 other locations across North America for the CarStars Soap It Up National Car Wash.
CarStar hopes to wash more than 4,000 cars in eight hours at multiple venues to set the record.
Funds raised from the car wash will benefit the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The local wash will also raise funds for the graduating class of Loretto Catholic Elementary School.
The cash wash will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

that is one hell of a car wash idea :)
Wonder is there are other fundraising world record braking ideas too – anyone heard about some? :)
(who actually paid for that – car owners? Audience? Washers themselves? )
